Sarah Merrell is a professional international model and actress.  Her modeling experience includes fashion, commercial, promotional and runway modeling.  She has traveled all over the world and country for modeling and acting work having modeled in publications and ad campaigns in Germany, Spain, England, Japan, Venezuela and the east coast to west coast United States.  She began modeling as a teenager, and while attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, began to develop her acting skills in student films, television and theater productions. She holds a BA in Communication Studies from UNC with a concentration in Media Production and Screen Writing, and an MBA from Western Carolina University.  In addition to modeling and acting, Sarah works in marketing, public relations, and event planning.  She uses her experience with modeling and marketing to plan and direct photo shoots and fashion shows. In 2013 she was named a Top 40 Under 40 Young Professional.  


Sarah works for Gage Models & Talent and serves on their teaching staff in addition to serving as Public Relations Director, Community Director for Asheville Fashion Week and a coordinator for Knoxville Fashion Week. 


Sarah works very closely with the fashion communities in Asheville, NC and Knoxville, TN  where she is dedicated to promoting and growing the fashion business through networking, collaboration, mentoring, and events.  She is a contributing fashion writer to many publications and is the fashion correspondent for WATE Channel 6 in Knoxville.  


She donates her time to serving on the Zoo Knoxville Leadership Council and is the Public Relations Society of America V Awards Chair. She also serves as a tnAchieves mentor. Many of the fashion shows she directs benefit nonprofits like the annual Color Me Goodwill fashion show.


When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband riding and racing motorcycles.
